🦌🦌🦌Well, beings I was on call this past weekend and we were kind of busy I didn’t get to go out for opening day now, but the time has come!! Clothes washed and hung out to dry by the chicken pen lol. Maryland whitetail season has started!! 🦌🦌🦌

Well, this is the first weekend we didn’t open the farm stand. Not because we didn’t want to but because everything needed a break. Gave me and the Mrs a chance to relax a little bit and not worry about the hustle and bustle. With that being said, we’ve been able to stock up on some eggs and Ahren is stocking up on apple butter. I’m in my chair waiting for the Ravens game while she makes the apple butter. We will be collecting eggs all week so the stand will be stocked up next weekend!! Sometimes you just need a break and have some time together.

Been a very productive day!! Was able to get the grass cut, bird feeders all full, went to the county CO-OP for chicken feed and w**d killer, took care of the chickens pen and giving them fresh water and got some Halloween decorations up!! Now to actually sit here in the bearable weather that we have for now in Maryland and listen and pay attention to Mother Nature!!

The farm stand will be open at 8am today with 2 dozens fresh chicken eggs, veggies and Ahren’s secret recipe of HOMEMADE 🍎🍎APPLE BUTTER🍎🍎!!
We’re only making 6 jars for now to see how it all works out! If it sells like crazy then of course we will be making a lot more!! Sooooo it will be up to you guys, the customers!!
The jars of Apple Butter will be $6.00 a jar!
When you’re finished with the jar, IF YOU RETURN IT THEN WE WILL TAKE $1 OFF YOUR NEXT APPLE BUTTER JAR PURCHASE!! We are excited and hope you guys are too!!
We’re hoping to have another dozen of eggs by this afternoon, I think our ladies went on egg strike!

With the heat index at about 104° here, I constantly keep fresh, clean cold water in their waterer and little pool and also give them cold lettuce for a cool treat.. this lettuce will be gone before I make it back into the house.
