Well hello there, fall weather… finally!
Pasadena is getting a welcome taste of cooler temperatures today, and we’re taking it as our sign to get back into the garden. 🌿
It also happens to be the final week of our Annual Fall Sale, so if you’ve been thinking about adding a few new plants, freshening up the patio, or stocking up on garden essentials, now’s the time.
Through Saturday, October 17:
20% OFF all in-stock plants & pots
10% OFF dry goods
The cooler weather may not stick around forever, but the sale definitely won’t. 😉

Cooler weather is finally on the way - and will hopefully stay 🙏.

We’ve got a couple more hot days to get through, but we're finally looking at a real cooldown this weekend — maybe even some rain.

If you’ve been waiting for more comfortable gardening weather, your patience may finally be paying off.

Until then, keep an eye on thirsty containers and heat-stressed plants, water early, and hang in there.

Fall planting weather… we see you coming. 👀🍂

The calendar says Fall but the weather still says Summer. ☀️😅

So while we wait for sweater weather, check out our fully stocked indoor plant greenhouse 🪴

Come take a look at fresh indoor greenery, find a new plant for your home, and enjoy a little shade while you’re here.

Our Annual Fall Sale is also going on now, but with this week’s extreme heat, there’s no need to rush into a big planting project. Stop in early, browse, ask us questions, and start planning what you’d like to plant once temperatures settle down.

And yes… the camellias, mums, veggie starts and even new Kent papayas have been arriving. 👀 We’ll be showing you more soon.

Stay cool, Pasadena. 💚

Happy Monday from the native plant tables! 🌿☀️
We’re starting the week with a fresh look at some of the California natives currently in stock from Growing Works.
You may spot Cleveland sage, fragrant pitcher sage, western columbine, jojoba, ‘Island Pink’ yarrow, Wayne Roderick seaside daisy, silverweed, sundrops, and more.
What makes these plants extra special is where they come from. Growing Works is a nonprofit nursery program that supports mental health recovery, job training, and supported employment while growing California natives, succulents, and other water-wise plants. 🌱
Fall is a wonderful time to add natives to Southern California gardens—and our Annual Fall Sale is happening now! 🍂
