🕊️ September 21, Peace Gathering and DedicationAs the solar wheel turns toward the Autumn Equinox, day and night sit in sacred balance. This turning point aligns with the International Day of Peace, inviting us to pause from daily momentum and anchor calm abiding in our hearts and community.
A beautiful dedication to the International Day of Peace and the arrival of the Autumn Equinox.
Our journey began at the Peace Pole in San Ardo, nestled among the roses along the Salinas River. Our guide, Vicki, opened our circle with a morning altar and prayer:
""May we honor this International Day of Peace and Prayer, September 21st. Guided by nature, the Equinox offers a sacred pause to recommit to peace, harmony, love, and compassion as we prepare to harvest the fruits of our work and share nourishment. Rooted in rest, beauty, and the web of life that integrates all, may we hold this space so that humanity and the natural world come full circle.""
Next, we gathered via Zoom for the observance of the crystal and plant grid. Together, we wove powerful intentions of deep self-reflection, acceptance, and humility amid change, finding the collective strength to speak our truth with open hearts.
At the center of our grid rested Boji stones, grounding the sacred balance of masculine and feminine energies, harmonized alongside supporting stones and fresh botanical blossoms honoring the abundance of the Earth. As this flame burns, the malachite and moss agate are here to soften the edges of this transition, anchoring you both to the steady, natural cycles of the earth. The rutilated quartz clears the pathway ahead with light, while the tiger’s eye holds the space with quiet, steady strength.
Finally, we observed the Glastonbury Minute of Peace, uniting in its quiet daily commitment:
The Candle: is a universal symbol of connection and shared peace across all faiths and paths. It's color, blue, invokes devotion, inner knowledge, tranquillity, and harmony. It is infused
with botanicals and the sacred Glastonbury Thorn, gathered in rhythm with the moon.
Today it was reignited to remind us that we all arise from a single spark, bound by one shared Light.
As we stand at the threshold where summer gently yields to autumn—marked precisely at 5:05 PM PDT on Tuesday, September 22nd—may we carry the stillness of this day forward into the season of harvest and rest. You know how to hold this space. Lean into the breath, trust the transition, and let yourself be supported by the current.
Wishing each of you a deeply grounded, peaceful, and blessed Equinox.
