How Much Wine Do I Need?
When planning a party, especially around the Holidays, the last thing you want to have happen is to run out of wine for your party guests. Below is a simple formula to help you figure out the amount of wine you may need.
Let’s say that you will be hosting six guests at your house. Each guest will probably consume two glasses of wine per hour, so that makes 12 glasses an hour. Take 12 and multiply that by how long you expect your event will be. In this example, the event is three hours. This equals 36 glasses of wine total needed for the evening. There are approximately 8 glasses of wine per bottle, So, divide by 8 and you’ll be left with the number of bottles you will need for the party. This example came to a total of five bottles needed for the evening.
