Meet Charles Clary, an artist who turns grief, loss, and darkness into breathtaking, intricate paper sculptures through precision and patience.

His mother encouraged him to chase this passion early on, and his journey into multi-layered paper art really took off during a New York residency while he was in graduate school at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Traditional painting never quite captured what he wanted to say, so he turned to paper instead, a medium he now relies on for its versatility as both surface and structure.
