I started this build a while back and worked on it whenever I had some free time in between customers’ builds. I never got to posting it. Gotta treat yourself sometimes!! It’s a personal rod I built for myself and some of the cork rings used on it was actually from my grandpa’s supply. Realizing now it’s kinda a bit of a tribute rod. If you don’t know already, that’s how I got into rodbuilding.

Anyway, you guys know how much I love my calstars. It’s built on a calstar GF700H 7’ 30-80lb with custom turned cork, alps aluminum reel seat, and alps stainless XN guides. Also really like this style of design with the beautiful Abalone shell. Classy look to it. I’m gonna use it as a heavy offshore spinning setup. I’ll be building some tuna chunking and offshore trolling rods similar to this soon. Let me know what you guys think of it

Happy 4th of July! Had the opportunity to make these freedom rods for Peter Anagnostidis here’s some close up shots of these Winthrop adjustable butts. These rods were paired up with PENN Fishing limited edition USA Liberty reel. Love the themed builds🇺🇸🇺🇸
