Feast your eyes on our Wine and Harvest Festival 2026 mystery extravaganza! Only EIGHT of the 600 bags has the winning tickets for one of these lovely specimens. We will be set up for our 16th Wine and Harvest Festival in the same spot Saturday September 12 and if any bags remain on Sunday. Each bags contains rocks minerals or fossils so it a mystery.

A customer sent us this. It was a solid black rock with signs of an agate, he found in our lapidary rock collection we are selling for $3-6 per pound. Pretty awesome agate!

We procured a bunch of Petrified wood from Brilliant, Alabama. It’s much different than other Pwood. Here are the steps to formation.

1. Rapid Burial: Fallen trees were buried quickly by delta sediments, cutting off oxygen and slowing natural decay.

2. Cavity Formation: Ancient insects and rot hollowed out tunnels and voids inside the wood before it could stone.

3. Primary Silicification: Silica-rich groundwater seeped in, replacing the remaining organic wood fibers cell-by-cell into solid stone.

4. Secondary Crystallization: Super-saturated silica filled the empty voids, growing into the signature glittering smokey quartz crystals over millions of years.

Check out our amethyst/agate room. Aspen worked hard at re-merchandising. It looks great. We also have some new jewelry, new polished material from the India order and literally tons and tons of bulk rock from around the world including about 3 tons of the old lapidary collection.

Well. Wyatt outdid himself loading for the show. The trailer can haul 9990 pounds. He had room to spare (scale shows 9880 pounds in trailer) The truck had about 1000 pounds in it so we are bringing close to 7509-8000 pound of rocks to the South Bend rock and mineral show

Set up today. Show starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday.

Some views around the shop. A lot of new material. Lots of polished from India, some new jewelry, and we unwrapped the 6-7 tons of material from India including some very large pieces of amethyst.
