John Henry Whitmire, Owner of Whitmire Fine Jewelry, started designing and crafting jewelry in Myrtle Beach in 1972, moved to North Myrtle Beach in 1973, Murrells Inlet for the summer of 1974 and to Pawleys Island in December of that year. The store has ended up in the Hammock Shops in 1977 where we have been ever since. We sell 14K, 18K, Platinum fine jewelry with diamonds and an array of gemstones. We specialize in sea life jewelry, sea shells, fish, birds and other reminders of the sea. We also carry other designers work, Kirk Kara, Indiri, Fredrick Duclos, Janice Girardi and others. In addition, we offer customer jewelry designs and jewelry repair. John Henry Whitmire personally crafts fine custom beach jewelry worn by many bridesmaids, brides and brides-to-be who get married or have engagement parties at the beach.
