Some classrooms teach reading and arithmetic. This one teaches you the difference between a good bottle and a great one.

Built in 1850 at Waverly Plantation, this schoolhouse was once the only school on Pawleys Island. Today, The Cellar has filled its walls with small-estate wines from family-owned producers, a bar worth lingering at, and a loft area made for slow afternoons with a charcuterie board.

175 years later, it's still a place where people gather to learn something new.

Visit us for their grand opening this Saturday 7/25/26 that coincides with our National Hammock Day Festival.
