Some farm updates: we have been busy!

Our ranunculus are blooming like crazy right now but they will be done soon since they donā€™t like hot weather. (Same honestly) We will have these plus the last of the peonies available at the Westside Market - Springfield on June 14th!

Early in the season I was having some issues with rabbits- they decided to taste literally every crop I planted- crops that they have not even bothered to touch in the past. They ate an entire succession of snapdragons and even came onto the (blocked off) porch and ate a whole tray. After that I decided we should get a cat to help deter them- meet Raven! Boone and his new sister are slowly but surely becoming accustomed to each other.

I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband who spends his days off helping me get everything done around here. Clay has dug countless holes for me and helped plant, plus so many other tasks. Because of him we got our new lilacs and roses planted that will bloom and be in bouquets for years to come!

This coming week I will be getting pumpkins planted! We are super excited to be able to offer these this fall. Stay tuned!

We currently have about 2x as much planted as we did last year and will continue to plant successions well into the summer. About 500 dahlias are in the ground and popping up, they will be in bouquets later in the summer and into fall.

This Saturday our spring subscribers will be spoiled with our luscious peonies šŸ©· I have several stems I am also storing away to have available at the Westside Market on June 14th. That will be the last chance to get peonies before they are gone for a year. ā˜¹ļø Weā€™re going to miss them so much!

The spring subscription is sold out, however, we have remaining spots in our summer and fall subscriptions. The summer sub will be the most colorful with lots of variety including our premium Lisianthus, and the fall will have loads of dahlias.
