Moving my studio this summer was definitely not something I imagined would happen this year! Going from a house with a full basement (inventory + a little bit of hoarding), a back porch (dye studio), and an office (carding room) to one climate-controlled garage has required a LOT of flexibility, organization, and (if I’m being honest) a fair amount of overthinking on my part.
It may not be glamorous quite yet, but it’s becoming a studio, and I’m so grateful to have a space where I can spread out and make as many art batts as possible before my upcoming sale on Friday, October 23 at 4:30pm.
I’ve been having so much fun with my drum carder, it is absolutely delightful when working with lots of texture and those delicious little surprises that make an art batt an art batt.
These batts are especially lush, built on a Shaniko wool, silk, and flax base and layered with tons of bamboo and wonderfully soft fibers.
Slowly but surely, my new era is coming together - and so are the batts!
