The pink carpet at Glimmer of Hope Foundation 501(c)(3) • Childhood Cancer 🎗️ 2026 Glimmer Gala where community comes together to give a fairytale dress up party to cap-off play dates, family support, an American Girl doll, and the princess treatment to kids courageously navigating cancer treatments. Closed out the opening remarks before the ribbon cutting for the SkillsRI small business village opening yesterday. Being a business founder means you have to do standup more often than you’d think. Next show starts in 10 minutes lol. Bottom line, a lot of organizations believed that our state’s consumer product startups deserved a house for the summer in the vacant mall spaces. This seems like a simple concept but in reality it takes a major effort with Nina Pandes keeping this ball in play from the start to finish.

I showed up two hours before and dressed complete strangers in potato sacks and gave them a pep talk and hoped for the best. My support at home makes it possible for me to go places where I don’t know very many people and to and respect the value of their attention. It was hot and humid on the runway but we had this fabulous cool wine barrel room as our back of house.
