Dollar general refund policy
Refund without a receipt will be exchanged for merchandise of equal value or put on a gift card. Food items returned can only be exchanged for food item

Refund with a receipt have a few rules to follow as well. There is a 90 day return policy, have to have the orginal receipt, not a copy or picture if it. Refund will be processed the way it was paid for, either to the card that was used, cash, or returned on EBT card.

We do not take helium tanks back as refund or exchange unless unopened/unused.

Seasonal or clearance items might not be able to be refunded with or without a receipt. When we scan the item it will let us know if it is able to be refunded/exchanged.

Phone returns have to have receipt no matter what and will only be able to be refunded if it has not been activated, the register will say if it has or not.

Only certain gift cards can be returned. The register will let us know if one is able to refunded. To return a gift card the orginal receipt is required. This is a list of cards that can not be refunded or returned and a list of others and how they can and can not be paid for. Hope this helps!
