NEWS FROM THE PUMPKIN PATCH!
Things are really starting to pick up around the farm! With harvest just 12 days away, there’s plenty to keep everyone busy as we get ready for the big push.
Over the next seven weeks, we’ll load more than 32 million pounds of pumpkins. Harvest equipment and trucks are being tuned up and getting ready to roll, while loads of straw, pallets, boxes, and rental equipment are arriving daily. Around the farm, our facilities are getting cleaned up and prepared for the arrival of more than 250 workers who will help us get all those pumpkins out of the field and on their way to you.
After spending the summer pollinating the crop, the bees have wrapped up their work and are now headed back to Colorado.
And perhaps the most exciting part, the pumpkins are looking great! Over the past three weeks, we’ve watched the fields slowly change from green to orange. It’s always fun to see that transformation, knowing harvest is just around the corner.
We’re expecting great yields and exceptional quality this year, and we’re excited to get the season underway. The next seven weeks will be busy, but we’re looking forward to it and to getting some beautiful pumpkins headed your way!
