We are excited to support , a local nonprofit organization that provides after-school, summer, and enrichment programs for low-moderate income families. They are very active in our local schools, and are often seen in the community supporting other local small businesses and nonprofit organizations. They work they do is invaluable. MONEY IRL: Start Smart. Stack Better.

Real life comes with real financial decisions, and we want our young adults prepared for them.
The Read Lead Succeed Foundation is excited to present Money IRL, a two-part financial literacy experience designed specifically for young adults ages 16–21.
We’re talking about money IRL practical skills young adults can use now and carry into their future.

💰 SESSION 1: START SMART
📅 August 17 | 6 PM
We’re building the foundation with budgeting and saving while learning how to manage money, set savings goals, create a budget, and make smarter spending decisions.
📈 SESSION 2: STACK BETTER
📅 August 31 | 6 PM
We’ll shift the conversation to investing and building for the future, followed by a special conversation with Gerron O. Duhon, author of The Purpose of Paper.

Every registered student will receive their own signed copy of The Purpose of Paper to read and keep.
Registration is limited to ONLY 20 students, and a commitment to attend BOTH sessions is required.

Join us at LIT Java for a special **Author Meet & Greet and Book Signing** with Vietnam War Veteran **Paul Washington** on **Saturday, July 25th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM**.

Through personal stories, historical insight, and lived experience, Mr. Washington's book honors the courage, resilience, and sacrifices of the men who served on the frontlines during the Vietnam War. It also shines a light on the often-overlooked experiences of African American soldiers who fought bravely abroad while continuing the fight for recognition and equality at home.

This powerful work challenges us to reflect on patriotism, service, sacrifice, and the enduring pursuit of justice.
