A few weeks ago, we welcomed Petals and Dreams Studio to the Peculiar Farmers & Artisans Market, and we’ve loved having her join us!

She creates beautiful polymer clay creations, each with its own unique style and personality. With the school year starting back up, this Wednesday, August 12, will be her last market with us this season before she heads back to her school job.

So if you haven’t had a chance to check out her booth yet, Wednesday is the day! Stop by, say hello, see what she’s been creating, and show some love to one of our local makers.

IT'S MARKET DAY!

Today we're celebrating National Farmers Market Week, and we can't wait to spend the evening with all of you!

Join us from 4:00–7:00 PM at the Peculiar Lions Club Parking Lot, 500 Schug Ave.

Here's what's happening:
🎶 4:00–5:00 PM – Live music by Mariam Self
💃 5:00–6:00 PM – Learn to square dance with the Live Wire Square Dancers (everyone is welcome to join in!)
🧒 Kids Entrepreneur Day – Come support more than a dozen young entrepreneurs as they showcase the products they've worked so hard to create.
🌮 Delicious food, refreshing drinks, amazing local vendors, and your chance to win this week's Galaxy Treat Co. raffle!

Last night was a special day for the Peculiar Farmers & Artisans Market.

We were honored to receive a proclamation from the City of Peculiar recognizing National Farmers Market Week. While this proclamation has the market’s name on it, it truly belongs to every vendor who sets up week after week, rain or shine, bringing fresh food, handcrafted goods, and so much heart to our community.

We couldn’t be more proud of this vendor family. They work incredibly hard behind the scenes, often long before market day begins, and they continue to make our market a place where people gather, connect, and support local.

Thank you to the City of Peculiar, Mayor John Shatto, and the Board of Aldermen for recognizing the importance of farmers markets and the people who make them possible.

And to our customers…thank you. Every purchase, every conversation, and every Wednesday you choose to shop local helps these small businesses continue doing what they love.
