A One-of-a-Kind Five Elements Protection Talisman

Some things are created with intention & others feel as though they were waiting for their purpose to be discovered.

Years ago, following a hurricane in Florida, a husband and wife gathered shells that had washed upon the shoreline. Those little treasures were kept in a large glass container, holding memories of a life shared.

After his wife's passing, the gentleman entrusted that collection to me with one simple request: to create something beautiful and magickal from it.

This morning, I woke with a strong feeling that I needed to create something for protection.

And this talisman is what came to be.

A delicate natural sand dollar, adorned by hand with 17 little gems and a silver guiding star, representing the five elements, grounding, spiritual guidance, and a symbolic circle of protection.

Each stone was placed with intention. The finished talisman has been personally consecrated through a five-element protection ritual.

Born of the sea. Carried through a storm. Preserved with love. And now transformed with magick.

I don't know who this particular piece is meant to find. Perhaps someone who needs a little reminder of their own strength, peace, and resilience.

Today, the wheel turns once again.

At the Autumn Equinox, day and night stand together in balance—light and shadow, growth and rest, holding on and letting go.

Mabon is the season of the second harvest. A time to give thanks for what has grown, honor what has been gathered, and make peace with what must be released before winter comes.
