**25 years later, and we still remember.**
For those of us who lived through September 11, 2001, there are moments from that day that will never leave us. We remember where we were. We remember watching in disbelief. We remember the fear, the heartbreak, and the overwhelming sadness as we realized our world had changed.
But we also remember the courage.
The first responders who ran toward danger while others were running away. The ordinary people who became heroes. The strangers who helped strangers. And the way, for a little while, we seemed to remember that we belonged to each other.
Today we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the families who have carried that loss for 25 years, and all those whose lives were forever changed.
May we never forget them. May we never forget the heroes.
And may we never forget September 11, 2001.
