Visit us at 832 Main St or order online. Originally opened in 1983 by Lois Vander Weide as the Village Florist, our shop has been a part of Historic Downtown Pella for 25+ years. Under new ownership in 2006 we changed our name to thistles to better suit our style. We can do traditional styles, but excel in something a bit more unusual or high style. We are proud of our heritage and being a staple in the downtown community. With changes in the times, economy & ownership, we are thankful for our customers who have embraced these changes right along with us! We look forward to continuing to serve you through life changes, yesterday, today & tomorrow.

We had the sweetest time at the Pella Regional Baby Fair this weekend 🌸🩵🌼

Alongside our flowers and balloons, we brought mini decorated cookies for a little guessing game: blue if you think or know it’s a boy, pink for a girl, & yellow if you’re keeping it a surprise 🫶🏼🍼 We brought an equal number of each, but they were evenly taken throughout the morning! 🌼

Such a fun way to connect with expecting families and be a part of a day that celebrates something so exciting 💛 Thank you for having us ✨🌈

20% of profits go to Marion County Imagination Library through Families First of Pella and the Pella Public Library, because $31.20 covers a year of free books for one Marion County child 📚 Currently 746 kids are enrolled (approximately $23,000 needed each year).
