The funny thing about Labor Day is… a whole lot of us are still laboring.

But honestly, that’s the small‑business heartbeat — the kind of work that doesn’t stop just because the calendar says it should.

Today I’m doing what I always do: making, packing, answering emails, keeping this little soap studio humming. And somehow, it still feels good. It feels like purpose. It feels like mine.

So here’s to everyone spending Labor Day doing the work that keeps their world stitched together — the makers, the growers, the shopkeepers, the “I’ll rest later” people. The ones who show up with their hands and their whole heart.

I’m in the soap studio right now, looking absolutely unhinged while these fall bars scream for their close‑ups. Every scent is acting like it owns the place. I’m still smiling from last night. Thank you to everyone who came out to Point of the Bluff Vineyards and took advantage of those huge end‑of‑summer savings — your support means more than you know.

One of the moments that truly stayed with me was hearing the story that a customer stopped into The Cinnamon Stick and picked up multiple Hutton Farm Soaps products for a raffle basket. Supporting two small businesses in one beautiful shop… absolutely priceless.
