$10 Makeover!

Elah needed a new dresser for her small bedroom. This antique marketplace find has so much character, including a handwritten note about potato bushels on the drawer. I wonder all the places it has been before finding it’s way here. Sanded and painted.

Fun story: one of my clients messaged me to help her with art placement in her new home. Turns out her family moved into this 100 year old house my dear friends used to live 20+ years ago. Same friends I lived a summer in Italy with. This home is magical, exploding with character. Savannah is honoring its timeless design by incorporating vintage pieces adding to its charm.

Foyer upgrade… with a splash of vintage 🤩

Took a second glance at this beaut at a thrift store. Took her home and gave her a triple glance. Could I really take her out of the old skool and bring her to the so cool?
Took out the shiny fake brass lighting insert and replaced with a current single pendant. I reused the existing chandelier rods and hardware to hide the pendent cord. And then… had my Stuey hardwire it.
Koa is still looks for the twinkling ✨ lights on the walls.

DIY Bust
I found this bust at a thrift store. He was green 🤢 Ha! But…. You know what you can do with a little chalk paint and baking soda??? Yep, make it look like cement. The texture even feels like it too.
Who needs this in their home ✋🏼

When your pup matches your sofas 👌🏼
Because of this sweet boy, we switched from a fabric sectional to 2 leather Article sofas. We have the same ones in our NC cabin and I’ve loved them so much, I wanted them in our home. They are comfy, sturdy and DANG BEAUTIFUL! Koa isn’t allowed on these (yet) unless he’s on his blanket.

And she’s finished! She is shining again and really how she was meant to be, natural with a splash of fancy. ✨
When I saw her sitting lonesome in the thrift shop I knew she had it in her. I’d like to think her French side came out….

First attempt at tiling. 🙌🏻
We did it, not without some hiccups though. This handmade Mexican Saltillo tile was very forgiving. We love the natural edges and organic imperfections. I chose a white grout rather than the traditional gray that is typically used with this tile and I am so thankful bc the grout soaked into all the nooks and crannies. Next step is to seal and then the plumber can place the soaking tub, vanity and throne 👑
