Beautiful spring day for a stroll at Spring Creek Preserve!

The spring flowers are bursting all through the woodland.

Beautiful New Year’s Day weather for a hike at our home base, Spring Creek Preserve, part of the Fon du Lac Park District.

Nearly 5 miles of well-marked trails wind from the valley up to the ridges, with about 200 feet of elevation to keep things interesting.

The Mounds Trail features two burial mounds added in 2022, and in fall 2025 a new zigzag trail opened, lined with 30 native trees. Can’t wait to see it next spring when everything blooms.
