My name is Stacy Hardin and I am the owner of this fine establishment. I began shopping at the Book Rack when I was 12 years old! I spent many Saturday afternoons here, perusing the romance section. I was wildly in love with Harlequin Romances and Silhouette Desire Romances. Now that I am older – I won’t tell you how old – my tastes have changed. I no longer read those types of romance novels; I p

refer women’s fiction, paranormal, and suspenseful material now. My favorite book of all time is The Talisman by Stephen King. I truly hope to be running The Book Rack for the next 30 plus years. If you are in the need of a great book or just want to pop in and check things out, please don’t hesitate to do so. I very much look forward to meeting each and every one of you!

TONIGHT!!! 5pm - 9pm. Outside TAVERN on Prospect at Junction City! Large outdoor patio with tables and chairs and umbrellas; live band 5:30 - 8:30pm; 2 food trucks (Burgers in the Valley and Brick & Ember Pizza); Cake pops; 35 authors and vendors; The Spice Rack Romance Booktique Mobile Trailer; Specialty drinks; and more!

If you get hot, you can sit inside TAVERN on Prospect or shop our vendors that are inside a storefront next to the patio that we rented for the night!

Bring a camp chair if you want to have your own seat to listen to the band or take your chances on finding room at the patio tables! We are going to have so much fun celebrating our FREADOM to READ!!! Say what you will about Illinois, but we don't ban books here in our state and that is definitely something to celebrate!!!
