Prairie Points is the place to be this Saturday, August 29th! We are having demos starting at 10am or shortly thereafter.

And it's the fifth Saturday of the month so it's BAG SALE day! Bring in your 2026 Prairie Points bag and whatever fits into the bag is 25% off (with a few exceptions). We still have a very limited number of bags to purchase, they are $5.00. When they are gone, they are gone!

Here are some of the demostrations that will be going on: Scrappy paper piecing, Cartonnage, Stripology rulers, Peapods (small zippered case) and Creativate (a new app that helps you turn your ideas into reality!).

So, come join us at Prairie Points from 10am -3pm for a full day of demos and savings!

Tonight I was able to deliver the Prairie Points 2026 Central IL Shop Hop quilt to a veteran organization, Full Metal Valor. It will be a part of their raffle at an event they are hosting this Saturday, August 29.

Thanks to Kathy for getting me in touch with the organization, to Jordan for her quilting expertise and quick turnaround, and to Laureen for getting it bound so quickly!

🌊 The mystery of the Riptide Board is finally solved.

What locals believed was a curse turned out to be something far more surprising hidden beneath the waters of Oahu.

👀 Watch the final reveal and tell us — did YOU figure it out before Lara?

As the quilters worked on their quilts, Lara listed six clues that could help her solve the mystery of the Riptide board.
1) A bachi board
2) Magnetic paint
3) Unexplained riptide
4) Missing surf legend
5) Volcanic rock with cobalt
6) Crevice in the rocks

What do you think? Is the board bachi? Or is there an explanation for it's strange behavior?
