Meet Stella and Elsa!
These are the hands behind the handmade soap you can get at Big Pine Books!
We have a 'Big Pine' version (where Elsa lives), and a 'Little Pine' version (where Stella lives).
Stella graduated from Perham high school in 2024, Elsa in 2025.
Fun fact; they were also partners for 2 years on the science research team at PHS, went to the Minnesota State Science Fair both years and won awards! These two young women are also recipients of a prestigious academic four year STEM scholarship award at NDSU, that has now been awarded 3 years in a row to a Perham High School grad, the 2023 recipient being Lily Aakre.
We think it's pretty cool to support women in STEM, and are happy to promote them and the NDSU Chemistry Club as their soap is a fundraiser for their endeavors!

Made by 2 recent Perham grads who belong to the NDSU Chemistry Club as a fundraiser to help support their passion for STEM programs! Come check it out, it would make a GREAT gift or just buy it for yourself!

This Book Made Me Think of You by Libby Page

Mark this day in history as the day Tracy recommended what many might consider a romance! 😂

Yes, if you know me you know that I am not keen on reading romance. That said, I felt the poignant and sweet story of loss, grief, friendship and the power of books is much more front and center than the romance, which felt more like a side plot.
The romance was sweet, bookish, and predictable. Yes, you know how it is going to end, but I think that's the point of a romance. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I think book lovers will enjoy this, and it would be a great one to pick up if you need a palate cleanser after reading some heavy things or you are in a reading slump.
