Happy Labor Day!

Labor Day was first celebrated in New York City on September 5, 1882, to recognize the contributions of American workers. It became a national holiday in 1894 and continues to honor the people whose dedication helps our communities and industries thrive.

Today, we’re especially grateful for the hardworking Star Milling team, as well as the customers, dealers, farmers, ranchers, and animal owners we proudly serve.

Star Milling Co. will be closed in recognition of the holiday. We wish everyone a safe and relaxing Labor Day!

More protein is not always better for koi. Excess protein can increase ammonia waste and negatively affect pond water quality.

The right protein level depends on factors such as your koi’s age, size, water temperature and pond conditions.

What helps give koi their vibrant colors? 🐟

Carotenoids are natural pigments that can help enhance a koi’s existing red, orange and yellow coloration.

Ingredients such as spirulina, shrimp meal and marigold extract provide different types of carotenoids. Balanced nutrition helps koi display their natural beauty while supporting overall health.
