The Meaning Behind Skyline Stitch 🩷🪡
As many of you may not know, my daughter’s middle name is Sky — not the common spelling, but a name that means everything to me.
The name Skyline Stitch was inspired by her. It represents my daughter and serves as a reminder to myself, and to everyone around me, that everything I do is for her. She is the reason behind so much of what I do and the motivation that keeps me going.
The meaning also carries into my logo. I wanted to incorporate the Passamaquoddy double curve along with the two S’s that come together to form the shape of a heart. That heart has an especially important meaning to me.
My daughter was born with a heart defect and underwent heart surgery when she was only 3 months old. Since then, she has continued to grow, thrive, and show just how strong she is. ❤️
I wanted my logo to represent her heart, her strength, and a piece of who we are. So when you see Skyline Stitch, it’s more than just the name of my small business. There is a story behind it.
Every stitch, every creation, and every step forward carries a little piece of her with it.
Everything I do is for her. 💜
