Somehow June is here already!

We've got a BIG thing happening this week and then it'll be a little quiet around the shop until the last full week of June... unless we get a class added later. That's just how it goes sometimes!

Officially ready for the opening of “Artful Perry” tomorrow at Mainframe Studios! We finished the final touches last night - the visionary Betsy and make-it-happen Lynsi, with guest appearance vinyl-sticky-extraordinaire Andrea - together we pulled it all together and we can’t wait for you to see it! We love Perry and we are so excited to share our artful community with you at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines in June & July… and hopefully next you’ll join us in Perry!

First Friday Opening: Friday, June 5th, 5-8pm
Regular Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10am-4pm
Closing Reception: TBA

I owe a big big thanks to this gal right here… THANK YOU, TEENA for your help hanging the Mary Rose Collective portion of the “Artful Perry” exhibit at Mainframe Studios… officially opening this Friday during the monthly First Friday event, 5-8pm! We captured the gleeful moment we considered ourselves DONE! posing in front of our artwork… her wonderful mixed media painting and my macrame! It definitely would have taken me two or three times as long on my own and I so appreciate Teena’s eye for detail! So proud of how it all came together - can’t wait for everyone to see it!

*Super Exciting News*
Perry’s three art galleries - Atelier at 1109, Betsy Peterson Designs, and Mary Rose Collective - in partnership with Art On the Prairie have been invited to participate in the Rural Arts Program with a guest exhibition at Mainframe Studios in Des Moines to showcase Perry artists!

“Artful Perry” will be on display in the 3rd Floor Gallery at Mainframe from June 5th to July 28th, open Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10am-4pm, with the official opening during their First Friday event this Friday, June 5th, 5-8pm. Closing Reception in July TBD.

More previews from each gallery coming soon, but you should probably just plan on seeing the show in person! First Friday is going to be a lot of fun, but if you can’t make it (or want to avoid the crowds) be sure to make a trip out over the next two months during regular open hours to check out what we’ve put together! Note: using the free shuttle service this Friday is highly recommended to avoid parking stress!

Here we are all together, just as some were finishing up and about to head out and others were just getting started!
