You don't have to fix everything.

I think sometimes we see so much hurt in the world that we become overwhelmed by the size of it.

What could I possibly do?

I'm only one person.

Maybe that's exactly where we get stuck.

Because you weren't asked to do everything.

You can encourage one person.
Support one small business.
Learn about one issue.
Help one neighbor.
Give to one organization.
Make one thoughtful choice.

And then tomorrow, maybe you make another.

Changing the world can feel impossible.

Loving the person in front of you doesn't.

Start there. 🤍

Today's challenge isn't to stop buying things.

It's simply to pause before you do.

Ask yourself:

Do I need it?
Will I use it?
Could I buy it locally?
Is there a small business I could support?
Do I know anything about who made it?

You won't have the perfect answer every time.

Neither do I.

This isn't about guilt or getting every purchase "right."

It's about becoming a little more curious and a little more intentional.

Because even something as ordinary as where we spend $20 can ripple farther than we realize.

Small choices.

Through one of our partners there, women have opportunities for meaningful work creating beautiful handmade goods.

It's one of the things I love about having so many different partners.

The products don't all look the same.

The skills aren't all the same.

The women aren't all from the same country or background.

And the organizations don't all approach their work in exactly the same way.

But there is a thread that connects them:

Relationship.
Dignity.
Opportunity.
Meaningful work.

Different products. Different places. Different stories.

All reminding us that our world is a lot more connected than we sometimes realize. ❤️

Before the purse...

Before the earrings...

Before the soap...

Before something ever arrives in a box at Blooming Grace, there is often a much longer story.

Outreach.

Relationships.

Trust.

Support.

Training.

Employment.

And then—eventually—a product.

That's something I didn't understand when we started this journey.

I thought the product was the story.

Now I know the product is simply the piece of the story we get to hold in our hands.

The real story started long before it reached us.

And that has completely changed the way I look at the things I buy. ❤️

More communities learning about human trafficking.

More orders going back to our artisan partners.

Relationships are built that way.
Businesses are built that way.
Communities are built that way.
Faith is built that way.

So maybe the question today isn't:

"What big thing am I going to accomplish?"

Maybe it's:

"What am I quietly building through the small things I do every day?"
