***Fundraiser/Preorder Update***
We know everyone who ordered through our fundraisers and preorders is eager to receive their Moonsicles — and we are just as eager to get them to you.
We are devastated that the company we purchased our machine from was unable to deliver on their promise. Their failure to provide a functioning machine and proper training caused significant delays that none of us could have foreseen.
Our new machine arrived the week after Independence Day. Less than an hour after our engineers left, the machine went down and remained non-operational for four weeks. The company returned about a week and a half ago to repair the machine and finally provided the training we should have received during their first visit. Even after their second visit, we have continued to face challenges: our film has not been sealing correctly, two thermocouplers failed, and our team at United Enterprises is still learning the new processes. These are issues we expected to work through in May — not in the middle of summer — and the pressure to fulfill every order quickly is immense. Rushing production, however, would compromise the quality of the product we are committed to delivering.
We are a very small business, and many have expressed interest in refunding entire fundraisers. When we run fundraisers, we purchase all products upfront, and these items cannot be returned. Donations have already been issued to several groups. We are asking for understanding, grace, and continued patience as we work extremely hard to complete every order.
With our new machine, we are able to run two to three batches a day, producing roughly 3,000–4,000 popsicles daily. We have about 55,000 popsicles to make in total and have already completed approximately 15,000. The next two weeks will be critical as we work to finish the remaining production.
If you have concerns, we encourage you to reach out to us directly. We are happy to answer questions and provide additional detail. We have been in regular communication with all fundraisers as they request updates, and we are doing our best to remove the burden from them by eliminating the middleman.
All we can do at this point is apologize. We are truly sorry for the delays and the frustration this has caused. This situation was never something we anticipated, and we are committed to making it right.
Here is the machine in operation.
