Before we open the doors this weekend, we wanted to share a piece that means a little more than most.

Normally, we don’t get sentimental about individual items at an estate sale—but this one is different.

Don and Janice Sitze have meant so much to our community, and both of us had the privilege of growing up knowing them. Their kindness, generosity, and the lives they touched are something many in Bollinger County will always remember.

One of the most special pieces in this sale is a beautiful bed that was handcrafted by Don Sitze in 1964. Every detail reflects incredible craftsmanship, patience, and love. This isn’t just a piece of furniture—it’s a piece of local history and a lasting reminder of a man who took great pride in his work.

While the family is saddened to part with it, they find comfort in knowing that its next chapter will help support Janice while giving another family the opportunity to cherish something Don built with his own hands.

We’re putting the finishing touches on the Don & Janice Sitze Estate Sale, and all we can say is… WOW! There are so many beautiful pieces waiting for new homes.

A few important reminders before the sale:

🕗 Doors open at 8:00 AM. To help protect the many fragile and valuable items throughout the home, we will be limiting the number of shoppers inside the house at one time. If there’s something you’ve been hoping to purchase, we highly recommend arriving early and getting in line. (Your actual body has to be in line, not lawn chair or bag).

👮 Security will be on site to assist with traffic, parking, and loss prevention. We kindly ask everyone to shop respectfully. This sale represents the lifetime collection of a woman and man who dedicated so much of their life to serving our community, and we want to honor their legacy by ensuring their belongings are treated with the care and respect they deserve.

💳 Cash and cards are accepted - so come prepared.

🛍️ We will also be offering items for online purchase, but in-person shoppers will always have first opportunity. If you don’t want to miss out, make plans to attend!

This is a HUGE estate sale with an incredible variety of treasures—from antiques and collectibles to furniture, household items, tools, outdoor items, and so much more. There truly is something for everyone!
