Hellooo! It’s so much fun when we come across unusual items that I have never heard of before. Today’s item is in the first picture. It is a bellows made by Siebe Gorman & Company. This was designed to pump air to a fireman’s “smoke helmet” in order to supply fresh air to the fireman in a burning structure. After more effective air sources were designed, they started adding horns to the bellows for other uses. The second picture in our post today shows safety instructions for effective communication with the operator of the bellows by tugging on the air hose!
