A special thank you to all the local businesses that supported my chocolate shop while I was open. Please support them this Christmas! Your business means a lot to them, as it did to me.

When I first started making chocolate, I didn't know what to expect from other businesses in town, but to my delight, I found a network of wonderfully helpful people, willing to market and network together. Peru is on the cusp of a creative breakthrough. We really need everyone's support, even in small ways.

My challenge to every Peruvian this Christmas: buy at least one gift from a local business and give it to somebody special! Post in the comments to share how you helped meet this challenge.

My days as a chocolate maker end this week. I am closing Redmon Chocolate Co.! We've been making lots of chocolate this summer, and this is the last week chocolate will be available in the shop, before I shut down.

Thank you to all who have supported my shop through the last three years. I have greatly enjoyed learning about chocolate and sharing it with everyone.

I will be in the shop from 1-5 Mon-Thurs this week, plus some late hours as well. Then it's adios!

Thank you to Doud's Orchard for carrying my chocolate this year! I had two customers come in today who said they discovered my chocolate at the orchard. That really helps me out as a business to sell wholesale and to introduce the chocolate to new people. I greatly appreciate the family's commitment to the community and their passion for offering their services.

In case you need another excuse to eat chocolate! Its now been shown chocolate contains helpful compounds to limit the functionality of certain viruses.

I'm not recommending chocolate as a cure-all, but it couldn't hurt.

Green tea, muscadine grape and dark chocolate chemical compounds inhibit an important SARS-CoV-2 enzyme.
