This morning a few of our friends tagged us in a post from Aroma Coffee Shop, LLC about their internet being down. We reached out to Aroma immediately and headed out right away to take a look. We tested their equipment and found a bad router that caused the outage!

We carry temporary swap units for exactly this kind of situation, so we pulled the failed router and dropped in a temporary unit to get them back up and running quickly while we wait for new equipment to come in.

While we were there we also worked with their Point Of Sale company to get their credit card machine and POS system back online, since everything lost its connection when the router failed. Had some great conversation with Joe in the back, and with Jade, the new owner of Aroma!

We'll be back out in the next few days to permanently swap in the new equipment. Glad we could get Aroma back up and running quickly!

PS5 HDMI replacement. Screen was going black when the HDMI cable was touched. At first glance it didn't look broken. If you look closely, it was bent upward. We swapped it out and this console is back to gaming!

Garage door opener remote. The battery connector wire came off the board and connector and needed to be soldered back on. Easy fix and they couldn't find one that matches their opened in-store.

⚠️ iPhone 14 Back Glass & Battery Replacement ⚠️

This customer came in for a battery and back glass replacement. The battery had swollen, which is what caused the back glass to shatter in the first place.

A few signs your battery might be swelling:
📱 Back glass or screen lifting/separating
📱 Phone feels puffy or won’t sit flat on a table
📱 Case suddenly feels too tight

If you notice any of these, don’t wait. A swollen lithium battery is a fire risk. Bring it in and we’ll take a look.

MacBook Pro keyboard problems? This brought in for a keyboard that wasn't functioning at all. On this model we replace the entire upper case assembly so everything needs to come out!

HP laptop with a bad display cable inside the laptop. This came in because the screen was fading to white.

There are a couple quick things we can do to narrow down a bad motherboard, bad LCD, or bad LCD cable. This one is just a bad cable. Part is on the way!

📞 On-site service call at Harvey Hinklemeyer’s in Kokomo!

Today’s visit had two separate issues to sort out:

🛵 DoorDash system wasn’t functioning properly. We got it fully set up and printer working.

🖨️ Kitchen printer kept dropping connection throughout the day. This is a managed customer so we were able to trace the network logs to isolate which switch was causing the drops, and it came down to a soda spill at some point and was slowly failing. That switch will be replaced quickly!

Great reminder that network issues aren’t always obvious, sometimes it’s not the printer or the software, it’s a damaged switch quietly causing chaos. If your business is having network or connectivity problems, give us a call at Tekrehab.

Dropped iPhone 13, cracked screen with a light bar running down the left side. Classic sign of digitizer/LCD damage from an impact. Got it swapped out in about 30 minutes. Thanks for trusting us with the repair, Janeen!
