Hi everyone! My name is Bonnie Hritz and I am the new manager of Tandy Philadelphia #181!
I’m originally from Canada, but started with Tandy after moving to San Antonio TX. I got my start in leatherworking when I started with Tandy. Before that, I used to watch my wife and wish I could do the things she does with leather. I was sure I’d never be able to, but when I got the job at Tandy, it came naturally. Tooling feels like meditation to me, and the world tends to fade away when I have a swivel knife in my hand.
I worked in the San Antonio store for just over 3 years, and loved it. I recently got the chance to come to Philadelphia, and although I’d never been here before, it felt oddly like coming home.
Now that I’ve settled in, I’m looking forward to meeting everyone, and helping the new folks to enjoy leatherworking as much as I do.
