Philadelphia’s Latvian Folk Dance group, “Dzirkstele”, will be performing dances from the 2026 Grand Rapids Song and Dance Festival on September 26 at 3pm at the Latvian Society!

🇱🇻🇪🇪🇱🇹 – a human chain of 2 million people stretching from Tallinn, through Riga, to Vilnius. This non-violent protest on 23 August 1989 captured the world's attention as the three Baltic nations clearly expressed their will for freedom and independence, and declared that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, signed exactly 50 years earlier, was a crime committed by totalitarian regimes.

Hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, we remain united to this day through our actions, our thoughts, and our unwavering support for Ukraine.

Priedaine jau ilgi ir bijusi vieta, kur satikties, svinēt un turēt dzīvas mūsu latviskās tradīcijas. Lai ienestu nedaudz jaunas enerģijas un atkal sanāktu kopā, sākam rīkot Tusiņus!

Aicinām gan senus draugus, gan jaunus biedrus - visus, kuri vēlas satikties, paziņoties un iesaistīties Priedaines atdzimšanā. Mūsu mērķis ir vienkāršs: svaigas idejas, papildu atbalsts un kopīga iecienīto pasākumu rīkošana arī turpmāk. Bez liela spiediena - vienkārši labā kompānijā un mājīgā gaisotnē.

Let's hangout at the NJ Latvian Center - Priedaine! 🌿🇱🇻

Priedaine has long been a place to gather, celebrate, and keep our Latvian traditions alive. To bring in some fresh energy and get together once again, we are starting to host Tusiņi (parties/get-togethers)!

We invite both old friends and new members, everyone who wants to meet, make connections, and get involved in the revival of Priedaine. Our goal is simple: fresh ideas, extra support, and continuing to organize our favorite events together in the future. No big pressure, just good company and a cozy atmosphere.

The first Tusiņš will take place this very Sunday!
