May is toast, make June the most! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏴‍☠️

This year our slogan for Pride is: WE ARE ONLY OURSELVES TOGETHER. After all, individual identity is just a small piece of humanity's puzzle! It's all of the endless, imaginative combinations that unlock our greatest potential – as LGBTQIA+ history, relationships and culture continue to demonstrate every single day.

In that spirit, we've launched a series of ten new perfume oils that tease the palate with unlikely scent pairings. Proceeds from these sales will be split into donations across three different charities: SAGE, Athlete Ally, and the Trans Youth Equality Foundation.

At The Root is our series of monthly fundraiser fragrances, inspired by the language of radical activism and expressed through the magic of scent 🌹

Roses have been woven into magic and folklore for thousands of years, and this oil reaches past the lovely sweetness of petal and hip. In addition to the rose’s association with love and romance, the rose’s spiritual depths encompass blood, rebirth, resurrection, and immortality. The root carries all of this in concentrated silence: love that is not fragile, love that has come back from the frost, love that grew itself back from the cold, shadowed death of winter.

The rose is an emblem of Venus, deeply associated with love, passion, and friendship across cultures, but she is also sacred to Aphrodite, Isis, Hekate, Inanna, Ishtar — goddesses of the underworld as much as the bloom. She lives at the crossroads of beauty and power, and her thorns and roots have always been part of its power.

As such, ROSE ROOT is an earthy, patchouli-touched rose oil with a hint of oakmoss and vetiver.

Proceeds from this 5ml perfume oil will be donated to Juntos, a “community-led, Latine immigrant organization in South Philadelphia fighting for our human rights as workers, parents, youth, and immigrants.”

Here are just a handful:

✤ HORREUR SYMPATHIQUE
The perfume of a hellbound soul, gleefully lost to iniquity: blood musk, golden honey, thick black wine, champagne grapes, to***co flower, plum blossom, tonka bean, oakmoss, carnation, benzoin, opoponax, and sugar cane.

✤ PERSEPHONE
Pomegranate and rose.

✤ RAVENOUS
An utterly feral, thoroughly rousing perfume. Red patchouli sweetened by orange blossom.

✤ SNAKE OIL
Now with vintage patchouli and dark, rich, aged vanilla absolute. Snake Oil is our signature scent, our first perfume: deep, rich, earthy notes swirled with vegetal musks, sugared vanilla bean, and dark spices.

✤ CROQUET
We have some trouble managing our flamingos, too. Pink lime, pink grapefruit, white nectarine, wild rose, sage, woody patchouli, bergamot, and ornery hedgehog musk.

✤ NOSFERATU
Desiccated herbs and gritty earth brought to life with a swell of robust and sanguineous red wines.

✤ VILLAIN
A lavender fougere, with hints of lilac, lime, and citrus musk.

✤ BLOOD KISS
Lush, creamy vanilla and the honey of the sweetest kiss smeared with the vital throb of husky clove, swollen red cherries, but darkened with the vampiric sensuality of vetiver, soporific poppy and blood red wine, and a skin-light pulse of feral musk.

✤ WRATH
A scent aflame with rage, swirling in the red haze of hatred: dragon’s blood spiked with black pepper, clove, and cinnamon.

✤ DORIAN
A sweet gilded blossom lying over a twisted and corrupted core. A Victorian fougere with three pale musks and dark, sugared vanilla tea

Here are two fragrant lines of inspiration from this urtext of modern vampire lore, in the form of oils made to be slowly devoured by the skin:

♛ BRAM STOKER
5ml perfume oil, 1oz beard oil
“No man knows till he has suffered from the night how sweet and dear to his heart and eye the morning can be.” Bourbon vetiver with opoponax, Italian bergamot, and hay absolute.

♛ DRACUL
5ml perfume oil
Named in honor of Vlad III, Tepes, of the Order of the Dragon: black musk, to***co, fir, balsam of Peru, cumin, bitter clove, crushed mint, and orange blossom.

Both can be found in our Eternal Collection of scents sold year round… which means they’re also available in 1/32oz sample-sized vials.
