Wednesday again already?! YUP! Today’s Wed Aug 12, 2026 AAAAAND when it’s Wed you know what that means...it means it’s time for Comics AGAIN!, again…

This week’s got the dynamic duo of Mark Waid and Chris Samnee teaming up again on some BATMAN AND ROBIN YEAR ONE stuff as well as the KINGDOM OF ZOD crossover starting in the Super-family books! The QUEEN IN BLACK continues to invade Marvel’s weekly releases as there’s a QUEEN IN BLACK THOR one-shot and the latest VENOM issue both tie-in to this whole thing. Also Miles Morales gets another new number one (Spidey’s love a good no. 1) with a new MILES MORALES SPIDER-MAN series kicking off. Those GARGOYLES are back in comic book form (again) while a new series YUMI 00EX is here to start something new. Want some new period piece body horror that’s also sexy? Well that word jumble gets you the new series GASTRONOMIQUE! CULT-DE-SAC’s got that suburban HOA horror that you ordered while ROAR OF THE WORLDS (Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre) once again adds the big G to a Classic. Oh and HELLO KITTY is making her comics debut today! WIld times here at the ol comic shop.

All of these comics and so much more (we’ve got Hobbit Magic Cards and a ton of new Blokees) are available as soon as we open the flood gates and let the people in (we expect a line today since there’s also a brand new ABSOLUTE BATMAN dropping today)!

This week Batman gets a “new” Alfred...or maybe we should say Pennyworth. Marvel’s bringing you the 2nd issue of QUEEN IN BLACK in as many weeks along with a VENOM UNCHAINED tie-in. Captain America gets the WHAT IF...? treatment and MARY JANE gets a FACE IT, TIGER one-shot celebrating 60 years of Mary Jane. Oni’s FORT PSYCHO is like the classic The Prisoner with an action-ier twist. Those Power Rangers go green in POWER RANGERS GREEN, MONEY SHOT is back for more sexy sci-fi comedy action, and the original Tank GIrl gets a summer time special with TANK GIRL SUPER SUMMER SPECIAL. Oh and wait Ms. Marvel herself, Iman Vellani, is penning an all new crime series from Image comics with the brand new issue number one of CHACHU!
