PBI is honored to be featured by Pattern for Progress. The profile talks about the community-based Working Groups and how this PBI model is very different from the "usual" standard top-down approach to community development. Good article for village revitalization recognition.

Click on this link https://conta.cc/3taJWQu for the PBI newsletter to access the Pattern for Progress profile and for information about the six Working Groups currently in session for projects funded and taking place in the village. The newsletter provides a link where you can register to receive more information for any of the six Working Groups to add your voice to the decision-making taking place this summer and fall.

The 2021 PBI’s Kids Grow & Cook season served over 185 kids & their families with cooking classes and a teen internship that ran from April to November in a partnership with the Sylvia Center, the Philmont Co-op Kitchen, and the Philmont Library. There was also free harvesting every Wednesday from PBI’s Annabel’s Victory Garden for pick-up at the Philmont Library providing free vegetables to 15 participating families & residents of the village. Collaboration works!

Our Kids Grow & Cook program is expanding for 2022 and has a budget of $62,000. Please consider making a contribution to Philmont Beautification, Inc., to help us meet the budget 10% Community Match so we can continue this inspiring community collaboration aimed at a sustainable future for the village and providing a very good place to live, work, and raise a family in Philmont.
