Going on Gunbroker this week. This magnificent revolver is a Korth Ranger, 4" barrel + compensator in .357 Magnum. Korth builds one at a time, by hand and distributes in the US through their partner, Nighthawk Custom. These may be the finest revolvers available anywhere. They are not cheap, but man, they are exactly what they are.

Just sold: Brand new Nighthawk Counselor, a perfect compact carry 1911 in 9mm, for those who appreciate finer things. Take a look at that test target, fired at 12 yards, with two different types of ammo! I received the first of the Gun Crafters Executive Series CZ last Friday and have had a chance to put a few rounds through it. I'll start by saying that the finish of the frame, Case Hardened with a clear coat, is not my favorite, for purely aesthetic reasons, but it is well done and smooth, with none of the signs of a too thick coating that I have seen on other pistols. I may at some point, do something to change the look, but let's leave that alone for now. I have several Guncrafters 1911's in my safe and they exhibit a quality of fit that is immediately recognizable. I hoped that this would be the same and I was not disappointed. Slide fit is tight, but not so as to make anything stiff. I have big hands and prefer a bit of swell in the grips, but these handle well enough that I probably will not change them. The combination of a Dawson red front sight and the u shaped rear work perfectly and naturally. The trigger is among the best double action triggers I have ever seen, pulling at 7lbs 3oz, with a smoothness that is impressive and a certain predictability that makes staging easy. The single action is magnificent as well, pulling at 2lbs 10oz. This is the absolute minimum I would consider acceptable for carry. I did not bench rest the gun, so I do not know what it is capable without my errors inserted. I did however hand hold groups between 5 and 10 yards with never a group of more than 2". I find it comfortable to shoot as most CZ75s are. the grip seems natural to me. I have shot a number of them, including new shadow 2's and older guns with all the Cajun bells and whistles. This is without a doubt the most shoot-able of all of them. In my opinion, (I will not lie and say, "humble opinion",) Guncrafters has created a true masterpiece. I am unaware of anyone taking this venerable firearm and raising it to this level before now. They may be out there, I just haven't seen it before. Well done, Guncrafters and to our friend on this page who used to work there and managed the creation of this product, Thank You. My gun safe is improved by your work. I am waiting for a couple of new holsters for this. It may well become EDC. We will be stocking these pistols.

After Range time. There is something peaceful about the time after, the big areas and the little details; everything must be clean and lubricated as necessary. On this gun, I rely. This is not a range toy, not a safe queen. This fine pistol is what I carry with the intention that it will by used if necessary to save a life. I take care of it accordingly.

The new Steyr, A2 MF. An excellent striker fired pistol, low bore axis makes for low felt recoil and it has a far better trigger than almost all other striker pistols.

This set, made as a set, includes three one of a kind pistols. I would rather sell them as a set than break them up. Either way is possible. There is a 45 Govt, a 45 Commander and a 9mm Govt model.
