WE REACHED $800. NOW, LET’S KEEP GOING.

This weekend, I set a simple goal for Janice’s Women’s Center: raise $800 and see what could happen when community activated together.

A few supporters immediately said YES.

They donated. They shared. They helped move the number. And together, we reached our $800 weekend goal.

Thank you.

What meant the most wasn't simply reaching a number. It was seeing people activate around a mission they believe in. Every donation said, “I see the work. I know the mission. I want to be part of it.”

But $800 was never the finish line.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month is approaching, women and families continue to reach out for support, and we are continuing our work to expand our presence and impact across the Valley.

So, if you watched us reach the goal but haven't joined us yet, today is a great day to start.

You don't have to carry the entire mission.

Give $25. Give $50. Become a recurring donor. Share our work. Introduce us to a business. Tell someone about Janice’s Women’s Center.

Community isn't just who knows about the work. Community is who activates around it.

We saw what a few people could do this weekend.

Now imagine what happens when more of us join in.

Learn more. Get involved. Start supporting today.

$350 RAISED. BUT WHAT I SEE IS BIGGER THAN $350.

I set a small goal this Labor Day weekend: $800. I made the ask small because this wasn't about finding one big donor. It was about seeing what happens when community activates.

And community is showing up.

We've already raised $350 of our $800 goal.

After sitting in so many meetings talking about visibility, community organizing, partnerships and what it takes to get people involved, today I am watching those very things happen in real time.

Because every donation tells me something.

“I see you.”
“I know the mission.”
“I believe this work should continue.”

That matters to me just as much as the dollar amount.

Janice’s Women’s Center doesn't need one person to carry everything. We need a community willing to carry a little something together.

We're $450 away from reaching our goal.

$25 moves us. $50 moves us. A share moves us. A business stepping forward moves us.

And every dollar helps us prepare for Domestic Violence Awareness Month while continuing to support women and families who need us today.

This is what community looks like in action.

Let's finish the $800 together.

THE NEXT WOMAN WHO CALLS SHOULD NOT HEAR, “WE DON’T HAVE THE FUNDS.”

That is where I am today.

The calls haven't stopped because donations slowed down. Women are still trying to leave unsafe situations. Mothers are still trying to keep their children housed. Families still need transportation, temporary lodging, food, clothing and someone willing to help them navigate what comes next.

And Janice’s Women’s Center is still answering.

This week, I am meeting with leaders, strengthening our West Valley presence, building partnerships and working to create better pathways for women who reach the end of available resources.

But advocacy cannot pay for a hotel room. A meeting cannot put gas in a mother's car. A billboard cannot purchase groceries.

Dollars do that.

So today, I'm asking you to help me put resources behind the work.

If 100 people give $25, that's $2,500.
If 20 businesses give $100, that's another $2,000.

I don't need one person to save this mission.

I need a community willing to carry a small piece of it.

Give $25. Give $50. Give $100. Give what doesn't hurt your household but could make a difference in someone else's.

And if giving isn't possible today, share this with someone who can.

My goal isn't to build the biggest organization in Arizona.

My goal is to make sure that when she finally finds the courage to call, somebody has the resources to answer with more than another phone number.

Help me say YES to the next woman.

I KNOW WHAT IT TAKES TO BUILD A MOVEMENT. NOW I’M ASKING YOU TO HELP SUSTAIN ONE.

Five years ago, I founded Janice’s Women’s Center. For three years, I’ve also worked in political advocacy and built relationships with leaders across the Valley.

I know what it takes to run a campaign. You raise money. You phone bank. You knock doors. You print flyers. You send emails. You build relationships. You tell your story until people believe in the mission enough to invest.

Grassroots nonprofits are doing the same work, without an election at the finish line.

Domestic violence doesn’t end when October ends. It affects housing, homelessness, children, employment, healthcare, safety, and entire communities.

You don’t have to personally experience domestic violence to understand the need. You only have to believe that someone fighting to make our communities safer deserves your support.

I’m not asking you to simply donate once. I’m asking you to STAY.

Become a monthly supporter, even through the end of 2026.

Give today. Share this message. Bring someone else into the movement.

Awareness starts the conversation. Your investment helps us continue the work.

PURPOSE ALIGNED WITH PURPOSE CREATES CHANGE.

I've met some incredible people since starting Janice’s Women’s Center, but I've learned something along the way: my greatest wins have come from people who already knew their own purpose.

When purpose met purpose, something moved, not just for us, but for someone else.

I've also sat in rooms where I knew immediately that purpose wasn't driving the conversation. The dollar was. Personal gain was. The next opportunity was.

There's a difference.

I don't believe purpose means working for free or that money doesn't matter. Resources are necessary to sustain the work. But I refuse to spend my life hyper-anxious chasing the next dollar, title, room or opportunity.

I ask people for $50 to help someone else. I've drafted legislation without being paid because somebody needed protection. I've spent countless hours in meetings discussing change without asking what my hourly rate would be.

Purpose paid me differently.

It positioned me.

It connected me.

It put people in my path whose purpose could meet mine and create something neither of us could have accomplished alone.

So, when someone tells me they want to meet me or explore a collaboration, I listen differently now.

I'm not interested in partnering to chase millions.

I'll partner to serve in purpose.

That doesn't mean free labor. It means removing the desperation of the chase and allowing purpose, preparation and opportunity to meet each other.

Some people are chasing the room.

I've learned that purpose will put you in it.

I am Shante Saulsberry.

ARIZONA, WE’RE CREATING MOVEMENT.

This week, Janice’s Women’s Center is pushing forward to meet the growing demand for support.

Thank you to Tempe Rotary for its $500 sponsorship toward our mission!

On August 20, two billboards go up: Janice's Women's Center-Shante Saulsberry.

📍 Loop 202 just west of Loop 101 #3
📍 Loop 202 Freeway & Scottsdale Road

And on Thursday, a meeting with a State Senator is on the books.

The calls are increasing, and we are working to create real solutions. In the meantime, we still need your support.

JOIN THE LINE OF SUPPORT—DON’T LET THE HELP STOP HERE.

The calls keep coming. The emails keep coming. Women and children impacted by domestic violence are still reaching out for safe housing, transportation, food, clothing, household essentials, and resources.

The difficult reality? The need is greater than the funding available.

When resources run out, families are referred somewhere else, and sometimes that next organization is facing the same shortage.

We need more people in the line of support.

Donate $50, $100, or more. Become a sponsor at $250, $500, or more. Volunteer. Share. Connect us with resources.

Help Janice’s Women’s Center turn more calls for help into actual assistance.

Since 2020, we've served more than 500 people across the Valley, built lasting community partnerships, and continued advocating for stronger protections for survivors. Every gift helps us keep that work moving forward.

This isn't just a donation; it's an investment in a family's next chapter.

Today is the final day. I have Faith in us.

A few weeks ago, I set a goal to raise $3,000 by July 31 because I had a vision for tomorrow. On August 1, I planned to sit with children over a slice of pizza, help families with urgent move-in needs, provide school supplies, clothing, shoes, healthy snacks, and support a mother as she worked to enroll her children in school. More than anything, I wanted every child to know someone believes in them.

What I've learned is that our community is carrying more than many of us realize. Families who once gave are now the ones needing help. That's why this mission has become bigger than one organization, it's about neighbors helping neighbors.

If you believe no child should start school without hope, please join me today. Donate $50 or whatever you can. Every gift helps us respond to families in crisis right now.

THE SCIENCE OF PLAY: WHY ONE SMALL ACTION CREATES BIG IMPACT

Did you know my favorite subject in school was science? I loved understanding how things work, but my real experiment was dominating the tether ball court! I was a beast. Four square and tether ball taught us strategy, confidence, and community. Today, we need that same teamwork to beat the clock and help make a difference.

Your donation today can help change a life. The Children and Women need our help to get ready for school. Your $50 donation is contributing towards safety, a successful new start, school supplies, move-in fees, school clothes & shoes, food, transportation, and more.

Join the mission and support Janice’s Women’s Center before time runs out.

Together we win with compassion and community.
