Paul's Car Wash is back at Desert Ridge Marketplace this Thursday and Friday, October 22 and 23, from 8AM to 6PM in the lot near Kohl's.

Paul Horton and the volunteers handle the suds. You bring the car and a donation. Every wash supports Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona, which serves more than 1,500 Arizona kids every year.

Things I wish I knew before the Heroes vs Villains Candy Crawl! 🦇 Save this. Your Candy Crawl game plan for Friday, October 23, 6PM to 8PM:

1. Bring your own bag or basket. Candy is while supplies last, so earlier is better.

2. Follow the balloons. Balloon columns and vendor tables mark every participating trick-or-treat stop.

3. The costume contest starts right at 6PM on The District Stage, and entry is first come, first served. Categories: Toddlers (0 to 3), Young Kids (4 to 7), Kids (8 to 13), and Best Family/Group.

4. Keep faces visible. Full-face masks aren't permitted, so plan the costume around it.

5. Know the map. Train rides are at The District Stage, the carnival is in the Barnes & Noble courtyard, the kid-friendly haunted house is next to Rolling Rack Boutique, and pumpkins are at District Patch City by AMC.

6. Want the VIP treatment? The Make-A-Wish VIP Experience runs 5PM to 8PM at the Splash Pad, with a mask, cape, popcorn and light-up toy for every kid. Reservations are required, there are no walk-ins, and 100% of proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish.

Pick your pumpkin at District Patch City and paint it right there for free, thanks to our friends at As You Wish Pottery. You make the masterpiece, the mess stays with us.

October 11 through 25 on the AMC Lawn:

The patch is free to enter and pumpkins are priced by weight. Painting is free with any pumpkin you buy at the patch, while supplies last.
