“Sunlit Path”

One of the paintings I’ll be showing during the Chester County Studio Tour. Inspired by the Fauvist movement, the painting uses intensified color and simplified forms. Seeing it beside its black-and-white version shows how the value structure holds the composition together, even with the intensified color.

It’s a bright, quiet space with light coming in from three sides, and it changes throughout the day. The paintings really come alive in that light.

“Valley Creek Bridge” is all about color and feeling. This covered bridge—painted in vibrant oranges and rich contrasts—brings warmth and movement to a quiet Chester County scene.

I used bold colors and expressive brushwork to highlight the energy in the rocks, trees, and reflections below. It’s a place many locals know well—and one that invites you to pause and take in the surroundings.

You can see it in person at Studio 32, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, during the Chester County Studio Tour on May 17–18. I’ll be there Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and would love to say hello.

“Resilient Bloom” captures the enduring strength of a dogwood tree in Valley Forge National Historical Park. Despite facing harsh winds and the passage of time, it continues to bloom each spring, embodying nature’s resilience.

This piece will be part of the upcoming Chester County Studio Tour. You can view it at Studio 32, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, during the tour hours: Saturday, May 17, from 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sunday, May 18, from 11 AM to 5 PM.
