Psst......did you know.......My absolute favorite thing to make is improvisational/ art quilts......but who needs 5million wall hangings?

Bag making is a lot of what I teach and sell, but I came to it through quilting. Turning your works of art into functional and fabulous totes, pouches and purses is a great way to keep it fresh and get your art out into the world.

Next week I am teaching a workshop where we will play with our communal scraps and create fun and functional art together. We will be making the zipper pouch featured in this post. (Bag is the Everyday Quilted tote from )

I'm in love and I don't care who knows it!!!! This new fabric line from Sarah Watts is phenomenal. I will be making so many gorgeous bags out of this, but here's the first round. They will be available at the Celebrate west hartford festival this weekend and lots more at the Phoenixville Art Street Festival next Saturday the 13th.... What do you want to see made out of this beautiful fabric?
