Pearl River County friends — we need your help getting the word out! 🐾
Our FIXED for Life applications open October 1, and we want to make sure this information reaches the pet owners in our County who may need this assistance most.
Please help us by sharing this post with your friends, family, neighborhood groups and community pages. ❤️
A simple share costs nothing, but it could connect a local family with much-needed spay/neuter assistance for their pet.
Help us spread the word throughout Pearl River County! 🐶🐱
🐾 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! FIXED FOR LIFE APPLICATIONS OPEN OCTOBER 1! 🐾
We’re just days away from opening applications for Pearl River County SPCA’s FIXED for Life spay and neuter program! 🐶🐱
Thanks to a $25,000 grant through the Jack A. and Gertrude W. Wilson Animal Welfare Fund at the Gulf Coast Community Foundation, we’ll once again be able to help eligible Pearl River County residents have their pets spayed or neutered.
📅 Applications open October 1, 2026!
Before you apply, please take a few minutes to get everything you’ll need ready:
🌐 APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLINE ONLY through our website. The application link will become active October 1.
🏡 TWO DIFFERENT PROOFS OF RESIDENCY ARE REQUIRED. This is important! Failure to provide both proofs may result in your application being rejected.
Documents must be current and include your name and address. Acceptable documents include:
• Military ID
• State-issued ID or Driver’s License
• Utility bill — electricity, gas, water or garbage
• Lease agreement or mortgage statement
• Property tax receipt
• Government-issued document, such as voter registration
💰 You will also be asked to provide your household’s yearly income and indicate whether you currently receive any of the following benefits:
• Medicaid
• SNAP/Food Stamps
• SSI/SSDI
• WIC
🐾 Services are limited to no more than TWO pets per household.
📧 WATCH YOUR EMAIL AFTER APPLYING. Approved applicants will be notified by email and will receive a voucher for the specific veterinary clinic assigned to their pet.
⚠️ Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. Funding is limited, so please make sure your application is complete and all required documentation is included when you submit it.
Last year, more than 1,400 cats and dogs across South Mississippi were spayed or neutered through FIXED for Life. Programs like this help prevent unwanted litters, reduce shelter intake and address pet overpopulation at its source. ❤️
