Today we’re celebrating the muse for It’s a Beautiful Life Succulent Gardens the one and only aunt Jackie, on her first heavenly birthday. This was our very first succulent arrangement workshop together and essentially where it all started. Her cancer had relapsed and she could no longer get outdoors to garden the way she’d spent a lifetime decompressing so I brought this project to her and we fell in love together at her kitchen table. That started a love of these little plants I never would’ve anticipated and a journey to the adventure of a lifetime. I’m so infinitely grateful for aunt Jackie and this wonderful journey getting to spread her loving legacy through her favorite things: family & plants.

She and I joked about starting up a plant shop that was also a book shop. It doesn’t seem like much of a joke anymore 😂 What type of books should be in the retreat center? Spiritual, horticultural & what else…
