The Bonafide XTR 130 in the color camo is the Cadillac of kayaks. Comes standard with the ultimate cush for your t**h, the Millennium seat (shown in box, minor assembly required). Boat needs to be motorized, customized, and personalized to make it your own but all of that can be done step by step to your liking. If you don't know about this yak, read about it online and come snag the last one we have in stock for this season. This would make for the ultimate fall project. Find lots of one-of-kind boats this time of year at Terrapin Outdoor Center. You might say to yourself, I can't afford that, etc., etc. You haven't tried. Terrapin Outdoor Center was recently blessed with an unexpected new member of the family — Earl. It's crazy how they just show up, and of course, you know that's the best kind! Make sure to say hey to Earl next time you're in the shop!

Even though kayak rentals and shuttles have wrapped up, we're open year-round for retail sales, offering new, quality, name-brand canoes, kayaks, paddles, PFD's, and accessories. Serving the paddlesports needs of neighbors on Terrapin Creek to customers & friends throughout the southeastern U.S. A local family owned mom & pop shop that has that small business vibe but with high volume sales. Nice selection of new canoes, kayaks, paddles, PFD's, and accessories remain at the end of the season. Everything has got to go to make room for the 2027 merchandise coming soon. C'mon by! We open at 9 am and will be loading em up and strapping em down. Open year-round ror retail sales.

Today's our final day of rentals and shuttles for the 2026 season. Just a reminder, we are booked to max capacity today on all rentals and shuttles. If you don't have a reservation, we're sorry we can't squeeze you in but will see ya on the water next season! Thanks to everyone that paddled with us in 2026. We sincerely appreciate your support over the past 31 years and look forward to many more 🥳💯🎉

Float Terrapin Creek this Friday or Saturday. It's the final and only two days left of the 2026 kayak season. Reservations are required by phone at least a day in advance for all rentals and shuttles. Call (256) 447-8383. 4 mile trip. Solo kayak rentals $35 each. Cards or cash accepted the day of your trip. Remember, only a two day window remains to hit the creek in 2026 with TOC. We will not be renting or shuttling Thursday and we are closed Sunday and Labor Day, so let's do this! TOC tip: Friday is looking less crowded than Saturday if you prefer it that way 😎. We hope you can sneak one more float in for this season. UPDATED 9/2/26 Here's our kayak rental and shuttle schedule for the week leading up to Labor Day. Must have an advance reservation by phone (256) 447-8383 to float this Fri or Sat. Saturday is our last rental/shuttle day of the 2026 season. We will not be renting or shuttling on Sunday or Monday (Labor Day). Reservations are simple and easy to make for Friday or Saturday. Call a minimum of a day ahead. No payment due at time of reservation. Pay the day of. Cards and cash accepted.

WED, SEP 2 - No rentals or shuttles but open for retail sales

THU, SEP 3 - No rentals or shuttles but open for retail sales

FRI, SEP 4 - Kayak rentals & shuttles happening. Advance phone reservations required. Open for retail sales extravaganza 💥

SAT, SEP 5 - Last day of kayak rentals & shuttles for 2026 season today. Advance phone reservations required. Open for retail sales extravaganza 💥

SUN, SEP 6 - RETAIL STORE CLOSED TODAY. No rentals, shuttles or retail sales. Yesterday concluded the 2026 rental/shuttle season. Thank you and see you on the water again in 2027!

LABOR DAY (MONDAY) - RETAIL STORE CLOSED TODAY. No rentals, shuttles or retail sales.

Remember, were OPEN year-round for retail sales. Keep track of our inventory and store hours at our official website. 2027 product is on the way... 2026 product has to go!

Wednesday, August 19th
Paddle Terrapin Creek for a few more weeks with Terrapin Outdoor Center, "The Original Outfitter on Terrapin Creek since 1995"! Solo kayak rentals available Wed-Sun. Put-in 9am-11am. Boats out of the water by 4pm. 4 mi. trip. With the kids back in school and the subwoofers waterlogged, now's the time to truly get in a quite peaceful float on Alabama's favorite waterway. The sound of water flowing over the rocks, birds chirping, and fish splashing ... that's our kind of music. The best $35 you could spend to rejuvenate and recharge. Note: With less crowds this time of year, reservations are required by phone 24 hrs. in advance to allow us to properly manage the amount of staffing needed each day. Thank you for understanding.
