A little behind the scenes post about our thrift store🫶🏼
We wanted to take a moment to share something with our amazing customers and followers. We know that sometimes a price on a thrifted item may seem higher than expected, so we wanted to give you a little glimpse into the unseen costs that go into running a clean, welcoming thrift store.
Before many of our clothes ever make it onto the racks, they have to be washed and sanitized. That means detergent, laundry supplies, and frequent trips to the Washateria to make sure the clothing we put out is clean and ready for its new home.
You may also notice that our store smells good and feels fresh when you walk in. We LOVE hearing your compliments about how clean our store is and how good it smells! Keeping it that way means constantly purchasing plug in refills, cleaning products, Clorox wipes, and other supplies to keep everything fresh and sanitary.

There are countless hours spent sorting, cleaning, washing, tagging, organizing, and keeping everything looking its best.
A thrift store has a lot more expenses behind the scenes than people often realize. We aren’t just putting donated items on a rack and putting a price on them. There is real time, labor, care, and money invested into every part of what we do.
We work hard to keep our prices fair and reasonable, while also making sure our little store can continue to stay open and serve our community.
We are genuinely so blessed to have this space and the opportunity to provide our community with affordable secondhand treasures, clothing, household items, and so much more. Your purchases, donations, shares, and support help keep our doors open and we don’t take that for granted.
So the next time you walk through our doors and notice the clean racks, fresh smelling store, neatly tagged items, and welcoming atmosphere, just know that a lot of love (and a lot of behind the scenes expenses) goes into making it that way.
