Running a bookstore part time while balancing a full time career sometimes feels like living in two completely different worlds… one filled with data, deadlines, and dashboards… and the other filled with stories, creativity, and a whole lot of heart ❤️

But honestly? I wouldn’t trade either.

One keeps my mind sharp.
The other keeps my soul full.

Some days it looks like spreadsheets and strategy.
Other days it looks like glue guns, stacks of books, and helping someone find their next favorite read.

It’s not always balanced… but it’s always worth it.

It’s our favorite weekend of the year and we are ready to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day in a BIG way at The Bookstore in Pine City!

Join us Saturday April 25 for a full day of fun, community, and books you won’t find anywhere else. Here’s what we have planned:

Kristina Shuey will be in store from 10 to 12 signing copies of her book and celebrating with us

Confession of a part time bookstore owner… my video skills might not win any awards but this one was too cute not to share.

Sneak peek at our Make Your Own Acrylic Bookmark event happening this Saturday from 12 to 2 at the store. I had so much fun playing around with these and the end result turned out pretty darn adorable.

Trust me yours will look even better than mine.

Grab a friend bring the kids or come solo and make something uniquely you. These are perfect to keep or gift.

Cost is $8 and all supplies are included, up to 3 charms per bookmark.
