Being a business owner isn’t for the weak. There are so many different responsibilities and hats to wear every day. But being a grandma isn’t for the weak either, and I’m so grateful for mine. 🩷

I can’t take credit for keeping this storefront and property looking the way it does. Grandma is the one taking care of the garbage, sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, and even handling the little bit of “yard work” we have.

Over the weekend, she spent a few hours tackling all of the weeds and dirt behind the building. Because of her hard work, we now have clean and welcoming parking spaces for our team and clients to use every day. It may seem like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference and is something I truly appreciate.

NJK Customs wouldn’t be what it is without the support of my family and friends, and Grandma Vicky is a huge part of that. She takes so much pride in helping behind the scenes, and I couldn’t be more thankful for everything she does. Thank you for always showing up, lending a hand, and taking care of this place like it’s part of your own ☺️🩷

It’s hard to believe that during Cheese Fest weekend last year, I announced that I was buying this business. In just a few short months, we’ll be celebrating one year of NJK Customs, and I can’t wait to share more details soon!

Last day with my mini employee, Griffin, at the store!

Over the past 9 months, we’ve had so much fun building packages, running errands, working side by side in our “offices,” and greeting clients when they stopped in. He quickly became a favorite around here, and I’m pretty sure a lot of customers looked forward to seeing him. 🥹

Today is Griffin’s last day before he takes a leave of absence for a very important promotion.. starting kindergarten!

I’m so proud of everything he’s learned, the confidence he’s gained, and all the ways he’s helped out around the store. Watching him grow over these past months has been such a gift.

Little man will be missed by everyone at NJK Customs, but I know he’s off to do amazing things. Good luck in kindergarten, Griff! We’ll keep your position open if you decide to come back from retirement. ❤️
